Education, Year 1

(5)·By Laura T·Education / Teacher Training· Oct 2018
I've only been in this university for a few weeks but right now the experience has been amazing. Before coming here I was a bit worried because they didn't answer to emails very quickly, but that's understandable since they're very busy. What's best about this university is the staff. They are all very nice and supportive and always encourage us to ask for help and even to come to them with our accomplishments. Most of the buildings are very modern yet still comfortable.

Nursing, Third Year

(5)·By Rebecca G·Nursing· Oct 2018
I love my university - it feels like one big family. It has lots of amazing facilities at the faculty of health campus which helps those studying health courses get a real feel for what it is like out there on placements in the hospital. The staff are dedicated and truly believe in their students - there is never a moment where you don't feel somebody believes in you.

Physical Education, Year 1

Really good, really enjoyed it and they made it easy to help people socialise. I don’t stay in accommodation but from the looks of friends and their stories it seems really good. Not enough space to socialise. They are very in depth. Lecturers are really easy to get along with. I already live here and love it. It’s not as easy as you think. It requires a lot of work outside of uni hours

Music, Year 3

(5)·By Charlotte B·Music· Jul 2021
I didn't do much but the activities they did sounded good and they were well put together and thought of There is a wide range around the university and is all modern and clean. I am really impressed with the accommodation The facilities are great and all modern. Particularly with the music course I'm on, the facilities are incredible and couldn't as for anything better. I get to do music with some of the best musicians in the country so it is very good. We get to do masterclasses also with some of the best musicians in the country. It is busy butt there are plenty of quiet places to go if needed and the nightlife is great

Marketing, Graduate

Uneventful. There wasn't really much going on at the university and I don't party. I stayed at home and commutes out to uni. Excellent. Can't fault. State of the art tech and amazing libraries!! The interactive in sessions and the level of feedback from lecturers. There's something for everyone. Amazing night life and places to eat & socialise.

Freshers week

(5)·By Anisah M·English Studies· Jun 2023
Freshers’ week made me feel welcome to join Univeristy. It is an opportunity for you to make friends with people at your university and get to know the people you are studying with. You may be feeling a little nervous about being around new people but that’s perfectly understandable. Your friends from school or college may have all gone to different parts of the country for their university experience. You have an opportunity to grow your network and keep in touch with friends that you have had for years. Fresher’s week also have many clubs and societies that you can sign up to, and there is usually something for everyone, whether you are into sports, arts, or something else. For me it was the Arts and English Literature clubs. The fresher’s week at Univeristies allows you to find what the university has to offer at the freshers’ fair, or at your student union.

Art / Design, Year 2

Standard and informative. Got to know a few things about the university and what they do to support you. Second year in the accommodation and its great so far. They were okay but now there is a pandemic cant really use them anymore. Informative through and through, great tutors and learnt a lot from them I've been to Birmingham before, its easily adaptable and I am close to my university.
