Sports Science, Year 1

(4.5)·By Louise S·Sports· Mar 2019
Freshers week was good I met a lot of people and the lectures were nice to talk to and feels like you cold talk to them about anything. They are good at explain everything and are there for extra help.

It’s a reasonable size, with a nice kitchen and room. It’s a newish build so anything is up to date. The acommidation is easy to find and is a great location there lots of things are accessible and close to the accommodation.

The student bar is a great way to make friends and go hang out with anyone else. The class rooms are nice and spacious and always have space to sit. The sporting facilities are amazing and because I love sport there is always sports going on that you can join in

The course is good because all of the teachers are are there is you need extra help or support. The lectures are loud so where ever you sit in the hall you can here them. The course is a good course and I recommend taking it if you love sports

The city is amazing and has a really good night life. There are lots bars and clubs to go to if you are into partying. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to go shopping with so always something to do

If you are going to study the course the students should know that that is what they want to do because it’s a lot of work but if you put in the effort good grades should be given. Be on the good sides of the teachers because they will help you a lot but if your not on there side it doesn’t matter because they will still help. Write notes through it the course because it will definitely help in the future and save a lot of time. If you make the notes through out when it comes to the exams you won’t be stressing out about the note you have to make

Anatomy / Physiology / Pathology, Year 3

(4.3)·By Isaac C·Anatomy· Jul 2021
I found it very interesting. The teachers were extremely welcoming and helpful. The site was inviting and appealing My accommodation is extremely modern. There are no faults in my accommodation. The showers and hot water work perfectly In the library there are many books focused in my topic and it is very clean. Classrooms are just the right size, colourful and well decorated. The sports area is quite small and gets crowded The lectures are very smooth because the teacher is straightforward and never confusing. If a hand in is late the lecturer cares and therefore cares for you and your work The city is very appealing with lots of old attractions however the air is quite dirty

Very fun and exciting , I loved meeting new people and enjoying the social side of uni. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming Very clean and tidy. Very luxurious. Very good . I was impressed with the library the most. Learning new topics. Meeting new people. Challenging myself. Clean and tidy. Fun and exciting because I come from a small home town with not much to do!

Media Studies,

(4)·By Ruby W·Media Studies· Mar 2019
Pretty great, made some really great friends. It was quite difficult to adjust from my previous home life. But I found my course to be really interesting and felt confident in my choice.. Very comfy and made the transition very easy. I enjoy particularly the location as it’s quite accessible. I did get lost quite a bit at first but after a few weeks I knew my way around quite well.. Very nice and definitely a step up from my high school. I spend a lot of time in the library as it is very close and provides a great work place. I don’t personally do any sports but I have heard that the sports facilities are amazing.. I really liked my course mostly because of the likeable professors who were very supportive and very easy to talk to.. Absolutely amazing. Completely different to where a grew up (in a good way). It did take a while to get used to busy city life, but after a while i began to really enjoy it.. Just remember to enjoy yourself

Teacher Training, Year 2

(3.8)·By Taylor H·Education / Teacher Training· Mar 2019
There were lots of stands offering different services which may interest some people. For example joining the army. As well as advertising extra curricular activities.

Bath college isn’t a college where you stay at from my knowledge. However buses in to town are always regular and there’s a stop just outside.

The library is a clean and friendly environment and is very welcoming. They have a group study space where you can work in groups and get your work done without distracting others. Laptops can be hired, computers and MacBooks are also available.

My lecturer has supported me massively throughout my time at college whether it was my home life and wellbeing or any work which was set. College has made me so much more confident than I was before and I have met loads of new friends who share the same interests as me!

Bath is a nice little city. During peak times it can be busy but there is a lot to offer. The vast variety of shops allow for anyone of any age to pick out something new. As well a variety of entertainment such as bowling, the cinema and swimming centre. Bath is one of a small town however has lots of amazing facilities is has to offer.

That childcare isn’t as easy as you think... most people generally associate childcare with just playing with children but it’s much more than that. My course has helped me gain such a better understanding of the importance of children’s development and they learn and grow every single day.

Architecture, Year 2

(3)·By Francesca B·Architecture· Jul 2021
It was very overwhelming. However everyone was extremely welcoming. It was a lot of fun. It is not the best. The lighting is awful. It is also not very clean but it is a lot cheaper than other unis. The library is a very good place to study. There is a side variety of books and the staff are very helpful. I have not visited the sport areas yet. It has been very interesting, the teachers are extremely thorough and helpful with extra questions. The detail was fascinating. There is a wide range of shops, however I believe there could be a bit more nightlife. I do not go out that much but when I do it is nothing special.

Law,

(1.8)·By Sam B·Law· Mar 2019
It was really good I had lots of fun but it was a lot of hard work too however I still enjoyed freshers week as much as possible. Didn’t have one. The library was a good place to go to if I needed some books to help with my studies however I’m not the only one studying law at bath college so sometimes books were taken. The classrooms were a great place to be learning they were in good conditions too. The gym was a great place to go work out when needed. Everything was good I enjoyed every lecture
But sometimes wouldnot head as I was put far. Living in bath was really nice however I’m not there now on my gap year. Only choose it if you like writing and are passionate about learning all about the law and how it works

Avoid at all costs

(1)·By Sophie B·Art· Sep 2023
I cannot express how bad this college is. The staff are untrained and unprofessional, I’m an adult and I was treated like a child. The teachers and tutors are somewhat abusive towards the students, I’ve witnessed students being shouted at for unjustified causes and humiliation publicly. Not the mention how incapable they are at enrolling you and answering the phone, this college is not a professional setting or a positive environment at all. I’d recommend strode college or pretty much anywhere else but bath city college. Unfortunately I can’t mention names of the people who should be sacked! I’d recommend to read the reviews on bath as most people experience the same treatment. They should replace all the staff. By the way I did an art and design course.
