**Course Overview**<br/><br/>Master the specialist language skills of Chinese, Japanese or Korean and set yourself apart from other graduates on our Asia Pacific Studies Foundation Entry programme.<br/><br/>**Why study with us**<br/><br/><br/>- You can make use of state-of-the-art facilities including translation suites, library resources, computers, satellite TV and access to digital software such as Rosetta Stone. <br/><br/><br/>- Access our Worldwise Learning Centre, which offers you advice and support with the study of world languages, cultures, travelling, and working or studying abroad.<br/><br/><br/>- In 2004, we launched The International Institute of Korean Studies – it’s now one of the top three societies in the University and hosts regular events.<br/><br/><br/>**What you’ll do** <br/><br/><br/>- Join our Worldwise Learning Centre – it will give you access to the latest language-learning and digital technologies including Rosetta Stone.<br/><br/><br/>- Gain open access to our state-of-the-art learning centre, with interactive video, satellite TV, computers, and other self-study audio and video resources.<br/><br/><br/>- There may be bursaries available to support short trips abroad during your time with us.<br/><br/><br/>**Future careers**<br/><br/>Asia Pacific Studies Foundation Entry could lead to a career in translation or interpretation, journalism, travel and tourism, or working for international airlines. You could also teach English in Asia Pacific language schools or overseas.
